I've always been fascinated by crossword puzzles, but never really good at solving them — at least not the top-shelf puzzles in The New York Times. But I doubled down my efforts at solving in 2022 and discovered a hidden passion for creating these cruciverbal challenges. I don't know why I was surprised to discover that the process tickles the same part of the brain as writing music, but it makes perfect sense. 

 

While I wait on a publishing break in a newspaper or online syndicate, I invite you to check out a few of my themed puzzles that will only be seen here. You can solve them online or print them out if you like to do puzzles by hand. Just be sure to check "print backgrounds" in your settings. Enjoy!
