They Had It Coming, Kevin Robison's epic tribute to Broadway legends Kander & Ebb, was commissioned by Heartland Men's Chorus and Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, and A Quiet Thing is a highlight of that collection. The TTBB chorus is accompanied only by cello and contrabass instuments (piano is a less successful substitute here), creating the perfect atmosphere for this text about how true love often doesn't arrive with fanfare, but sneaks up on you.
