In 2005, Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles and Heartland Men's Chorus of Kansas City, MO, joined forces to pay tribute to the work of the Broadway luminaries who gave birth to the shows Cabaret, Chicago, and Kiss of the Spider Woman. The centerpiece of the resulting show They Had It Coming: The Music of Kander and Ebb was Kevin Robison's epic medley of five Kander & Ebb songs woven together in a battle-cry for marriage equality. Now available two decades later, it remains relevant as the LGBTQIA+ community stands poised to face challenges both new and old. This tour de force for two soloists and full men's chorus received a lengthy standing ovation at the international festival of GALA Choruses International in Montreal. A must-have for any program with a social justice theme. Instrumental pack available separately.
